Corridor Bus Service

The Connective Corridor  Bus
Centro Routes # 443 and 543

Starting Monday, August 31, Centro’s Connective Corridor bus service will be extended to 7-days a week, operating from 7:30 a.m. until 3 a.m. each day.  The new service consolidates multiple routes between the University Hill and downtown Syracuse, and adds new destinations including SU South Campus, Manley Field House, SUNY-College of Environmental Science and Forestry, and the Syracuse Center of Excellence.  Special extended service will also be offered into the Near West Side neighborhood.

City residents, visitors, students and commuters can ride Centro’s Connective Corridor bus service free of charge to art and entertainment venues and other destinations between Syracuse University and the downtown Syracuse. The bus service operates in full during the academic terms of Syracuse University and stops at all marked Centro bus stops along its route.  A interim schedule for summer and holiday service is also available.

Centro’s service includes two routes, as indicated on electronic bus displays, schedules and route maps.  The routes include

  • Route No. 443: Offering weekday and afterhours express service from the University Hill to Armory Square/The Warehouse to facilitate quick transportation between the Hill and downtown. Operating from 7:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Mon – Fri, and 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. every day.
  • Route No. 543:  Extending service to cultural destinations in downtown and in the Near West Side neighborhood.  Operating from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m. Mon – Fri, and on weekends from 9 a.m. until 11 p.m.

The shuttle provides a convenient way to travel to cultural events and happenings in the city, including performances at Syracuse Stage and the Mulroy Civic Center, home to the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra and Syracuse Opera. The shuttle offers the public easy access to Syracuse University for events such as the University Lectures series, performances at the Setnor School of Music, or exhibitions at SU’s galleries and museums. Riders can also take the shuttle during TH3: A City Wide Art Open, in which the Connective Corridor’s visual arts venues remain open throughout the evening on the third Thursday of each month.

Free park-and-ride service is available from the SU campus at Manley Field House, south parking lot, after 5 pm with limited paid parking available during SU athletic events.  The south parking lot is located off East Colvin Ave near Comstock Ave (see map below).
