About the SYRACUSE Connective Corridor
connectivecorridor@syr.edu
The Connective Corridor is a collaboration between Syracuse University, the City of Syracuse and Onondaga County around arts, culture, technology, civic entrepreneurship and urban design. It includes complete streetscapes, bike and pedestrian paths, smart transportation networks, public art, new urban spaces, green infrastructure, façade improvements that reflect innovation in lighting and historic preservation – all catalyzing community revitalization. The Corridor connects University Hill with downtown business districts, as well as more than 30 arts and cultural venues. It is also a way for students from across disciplines to create learning experiences around sustainability, smart growth and place-making. We’re proud to have been recognized by the U.S. Green Building Council’s Global Leadership Award and as one of a handful of emerging “Innovation Districts” around the world.
