Join us for Connective Corridor Beautification Day
Forman Park and along University Avenue/East Genesee Street
Part of OCRRA’s Earth Day Cleanup
Saturday, April 25, 2015 – 9 a.m. to noon in Forman Park
In 2014, 5,500 people volunteered for Earth Day and collected trash from roadsides and public spaces. Their efforts brought in over 99,000 pounds of trash. Since OCRRA began the cleanup, more than 2,008,880 pounds of litter have been removed from our community’s streets and green spaces. This year, the Connective Corridor and the Syracuse and CNY Police Retirees Association are joining forces for Earth Day 2015, with a special focus on University Avenue and East Genesee Street!
How Earth Day Works: OCRRA’s Earth Day event is a chance for friends, neighbors, and co-workers to help clean up our community. We are looking for volunteers to help out in Forman Park from 9 a.m. to noon, and encouraging property owners to clean up litter in front of their buildings along the EGRA district of the Connective Corridor. Post photos of your work on OCRRA’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/OCRRA) or email them to earthday@ocrra.org. We’ll share them on the Connective Corridor Facebook page too, so e-mail them to us, too, corridor@syr.edu and we’ll recognize your good work!
In partnership with the Connective Corridor, City of Syracuse, and volunteers from area businesses, nonprofit organizations and residents. We appreciate your support!
