The Connective Corridor has created a new “interactive” Google map of the new Corridor bus route.  The new route went into service August 27, and was developed in conjunction with Centro and SU Parking & Transit.

The changes accomplish several goals:

  • As University Avenue re-opened as a two-week street this summer, Connective Corridor buses return to that street, with new bus pull-offs that are part of the new complete streetscape design.
  • The east-west route now travels along Fayette Street, aligned with changes that  Centro is making to its downtown routes in conjunction with opening its new hub on September 4.  As part of that change, Centro buses are moving from Fayette Street to Washington Street, and Corridor buses are moving from Washington Street to Fayette Street.   This will provide great mobility for cross-city travel.
  • The new route more closely aligns with the actual Connective Corridor, and puts riders in closer proximity to downtown venues that are Corridor partners.
  • The route accommodates better access to new projects on the Corridor such as Copper Beech Commons.

Outbound (campus to downtown) route:

  • South campus loop
  • Campus loop
  • Irving Avenue
  • East Fayette Street (with Washington Street stop for SyracuseCoE)
  • West Fayette Street
  • Franklin Street to Washington Street connection to the Warehouse
  • West Fayette to Near Westside loop

Inbound (downtown to campus) route:

  • Warehouse Washington Street to Franklin connection
  • West Fayette Street
  • East Fayette Street to State Street
  • State Street to Adams Street to Almond Street
  • Almond Street to Washington Street (stop for SyracuseCoE)
  • East Fayette Street to Iriving
  • Irving to Madison
  • Madison to University
  • University to Waverly
  • Waverly to campus loop

The Connective Corridor bus is free of charge for all riders – both campus and community passengers.  Connective Corridor buses can be picked up at any Centro bus stop along the Corridor route.

Connective Corridor bus service information (including detours or service changes) is available at the Centro website:  www.centro.org

This year, there are two additional shuttle services that serve the Corridor.  Copper Beech Commons and Warehouse Express shuttle services are operated by Caz Limo and provided by SU Parking & Transit Services.  A SU faculty, staff or student ID is required for Caz Limo shuttle services.  Those schedules are available at http://parking.syr.edu
