Saturdays, December 8 and 15, 12-3 pm
Special activity in downtown’s Armory Square this holiday season is sure to give shoppers a spirited lift as they encounter professional entertainers winding through the streets, in the lobby of the Jefferson Clinton Hotel during afternoon teas and at Empire Brewing Company’s Saturday brunches.
Take a horse-drawn trolley ride throughout the Square and get a glimpse of the trimmings, from lighted trees to window decorations. At the trolley’s passenger pick-up point (corner of W. Jefferson & Franklin Sts.), the familiar figure of ‘Abe Walton’ (actor Scott Peal), will be there to greet visitors with a little storytelling. Jolly ole Santa Clause returns to the Square to gift visitors with candy canes.
