Beginning Monday, Oct. 22, E. Raynor Avenue will be closed between Irving Avenue and Stadium Place between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. E. Raynor Avenue will be open to traffic from 3:00 p.m. Monday until 7:00 am Tuesday to accommodate Dome traffic for the NBA pre-season basketball game.
Beginning Tuesday, Oct. 23, E. Raynor Avenue will be closed between Irving Avenue and Stadium Place for 24 hours per day through Friday, Oct. 26, reopening on Oct. 26 at 6 p.m.
Signage, for each time frame above, will be used in conjunction with flaggers to help direct detours. Emergency vehicles will be accommodated. Irving Avenue, between Van Buren Street and E. Raynor Avenue, will be open only to local (SU, SUNY-ESF, Carrier Dome) traffic utilizing Forestry Drive.
Bus routes will be affected as follows:
The Connective Corridor bus will stay on Irving Avenue and not operate via Henry Street. Customers who normally board the Connective Corridor bus on Henry Street at Van Buren must travel to Irving Avenue. Temporary bus stops will be placed northbound on Irving Avenue adjacent to the Carrier Dome and at Irving Avenue at the intersection of Van Buren.
The Quad Shuttle will be able to make all regular stops along the route with the exception of the Irving Avenue Garage. Customers who park in the Irving Garage and utilize the Quad Shuttle are urged to park in the Stadium Lot (entrance off of Henry Street) and board the Quad Shuttle at the bus shelter at the corner of Henry Street (northbound) at Van Buren.
