Program Invites Community to enjoy a Barbeque and Family Fun Activities

P.E.A.C.E., Inc.’s Project Connection will hold it’s annual summer programming kick off event on Monday, July 9, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with a barbeque celebration highlighted by a cook out, community relations appearances by the Syracuse Fire and Police Departments, and a McGruff The Crime Dog robotic demonstration, America Red Cross robotic Dog, etc.

On the sidewalk, playground and parking lot of the Project Connection site at 921 East Fayette Street, program information and enrollments will be available, as well as information about the services available in our community – a special collaboration providing dance and acting camp for our youth is especially exciting!.  Visitors are invited to enjoy a barbeque with beverages, games and activities for children such as the Rocket Moonwalk.

In previous years, Project Connection’s great success within the community has started with the summer program kick off.  The program’s goal is to provide a safer and pleasant summer experience for everyone in the community.  Project Connection collaborates with community agencies to provide breakfast and lunch each day, as well as a safe, supervised environment for the city’s youth to socialize and recreate through out the summer.
