Do you know where the love is in Syracuse? If so, Brendan Rose wants to hear your story.
Rose, the Syracuse Public Artist in Residence (SPAR), is looking for story submissions about public places in Syracuse where people have felt love.
Story submissions will be used as locations for a series of photographs within the city landscape. Together, these stories and photographs will form a portrait of Syracuse’s ‘Love Landscape,’ which will be part of an exhibition of public art in Syracuse and will help inspire the form of a sculpture being designed for downtown.
Stories may be submitted via mail or email and should be submitted by Friday, October 7. Each story submission must include a location in Syracuse. One submission will be randomly drawn on October 7 to receive two tickets to hear American novelist and essayist Jonathan Franzen at the Oncenter on Tuesday, October 11, at 7:30pm.
To participate, email your stories to spar@installsyracuse.org or send them to the SPAR project at:
